SK took its first step in Tokyo, then moved to several different areas, including the neighborhoods of Kanda and Kotobuki in Chiyoda City and Taito City.
Acquired Certification ISO 14001
We obtained the ISO 14001 Certification, an international environmental management qualification, for our exceptional performance. (Further renewed in 2004 and 2010.)
HQ Repositioned to Motoasakusa, Tokyo
After careful consideration of our strategic outreach and accessibility, we decided to relocate our headquarters to Motoasakusa. It has served as the base for our continued growth to this day.
Ventured into International Platform
Finally, after over a decade of preparation, SK took a leap by establishing an office in the bustling city of Hong Kong and started collaborating with factories in mainland China.

Joined Association of Chemicals
Holding a deep interest and knowledge of materials, Koji Sakaguchi, the founder and president of SK at the time, took the initiative to become a member of the Society of Silicon Chemistry Japan.
Generational Shift in Company Leadership
Fumitaka Sakaguchi officially assumed the role of company president, while his father and the founder of SK, Koji Sakaguchi, moved into the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Obtained Permission for Medical Items
To pivot towards more sophisticated products in the medical and electronic fields, we acquired both the Medical Device Manufacturer License and the Type 2 Medical Device Manufacturer and Seller License.
Extended Presence to Thailand
We embarked on a strategic initiative to broaden our global footprint and explore untapped opportunities in the vibrant and dynamic market of Southeast Asia, culminating in the establishment of our inaugural office in Thailand.
